AIEEE ( All India Engineering Entrance Examination)

About AIEEE :

To avoid the multiplicity of Entrance Exams and to solve the problem of overlaps and reduce physical, mental and financial burden on students and their parents, a Common Entrance Test for Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture was introduced in the year 2002 which is popularly referred as All Indian Engineering Entrance Examination(AIEEE). Admission to NITs. (National Institute of Technologies) is essentially through AIEEE.


No. of Seats :

110+ institutes offer admission on the basis of AIEEE performance for app. 12000+ seats.

Eligibility :

The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent. The students who are appearing in the 12th arse also eligible for test

Age Limit :

Candidates appearing in AIEEE should not be completing 25 years on 30th September of the year ins.

Language of the Test :

The test is conducted in English and Hindi. The option has to be exercised while filling the application form.

Test Centres :

AIEEE is conducted at 620+ centers located in 97+ cities across the nation. In Gujarat, it is conducted at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Surat.

Notification :

Notification for AIEEE usually appears in the month of November/December.

About the Test :

AIEEE comprises pure objective type questions carrying four options with single correct answers. All question carry equal weightage. For each correct response student gets 3 marks and for each incorrect response one mark is deducted. No penalty for unattempted questions. A subject wise detail of the test paper is self explanatory from the following table.

Results :

On the performance of the AIEEE, separate rank list is prepared for BE/B.Tech, B.Pharm and B.Arch/B Planning. All the candidates are informed about their score related on web aieee.nic.in

Syllabus :

The syllabus of AIEEE is from both 11th and 12th roughly divided equally in each standard in each of the subject.
