All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Entrance Examination 2006

CBSE pre-medical exam on May 14, 2006

New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced the schedule for the All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Entrance Examination for next year.

The final examination for admission to various medical and dental colleges in the country would be held on May 14, 2006, CBSE said in a release.

It said a preliminary examination to screen candidates for the main examination would be held earlier on April 2, 2006.

Important Dates for AIPMT 2006
Issuing of Application form : 10-10-2005 to 19-11-2005

Preliminary Examination : 02-04-2006 (Sunday) 10.00AM to 12 Noon

Main Examination : 14-05-2006 (Sunday)
Paper-1 : 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon
Paper-2 : 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM

Preliminary Examination:
The Preliminary Examination would consists of one paper containing 200 objective type questions

Final Examination: (Only for those who qualify in the preliminary Examination)
The Final Examination would consist of two papers each of 2 hours duration.

Eligibility for AIPMT / PDE 2006
He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./Dental Course and is an Indian National.

Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K are not eligible, as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility they must submit an affidavit, in original, in the Proforma on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly sworn before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that They are not eligible to compete for MBBS/ BDS seats in the States of Andhra Pradesh/J &K and hence not eligible to seek admission in Medical/Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh/J&K. and They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh/ J&K.

Bulletin and Application form
The information bulletin containing Application Form can be had against cash payment of Rs. 300/- for General Category and Rs. 150/- for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe Category from any specified branch of Canara Bank
