Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy (RPETEAP) 2005

For admission to first year of undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelor’s degree in different disciplines of Engineering (B.E.) / Architecture (B. Arch.) / Pharmacy (B. Pharma) and Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) in various Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (Except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed Universities) for the session 2005-2006 will held on 2nd June 2005 i.e. all papers in ONE day.

Educational Qualification For Admission:

(i)The minimum academic qualification for admission through RPETEAP is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or any other examination recognised equivalent there to by Universities in Rajasthan.
(ii)Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E, B.Arch., B.Pharma & D.Pharma courses shall be as under :

Course Compulsory Subjects Anyone of the Optional Subjects:

B. E. Physics & Mathematics (1) Chemistry (2) Bio-technology (3) Computer Science (4) Biology B. Arch. Mathematics (1) Chemistry (2) Computer Science(3) Biology (4) Engineering Drawing (5) Physics or any other subject B. Pharma / D. Pharma Physics & Chemistry (1) Mathematics (2) Bio-technology (3) Computer Science (4) Biology Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2005 may also apply.

Age limit :

A candidate should not be less than 16 years of age on 31st December, 2005 or more than 23 years of age on 1st October, 2005 i.e. he/she must have been born not later than 1st January, 1990 and not earlier than 2nd October 1982. (Upper age limit is relaxable up to 3 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST)

Mode Of Selection Through Rpeteap :

The RPETEAP-2005 shall consist of four papers –

Paper-1 : Physics & Chemistry (combined paper)
Paper-2 : Mathematics
Paper-3 : Biology (Botany & Zoology)
Paper-4 : Aptitude Test.
For Engineering, Architecture & Pharmacy courses, candidate will have to appear in the test as per combination given below.

 B. E. Paper –1 & Paper-2
 B.Arch. Paper-2 & Paper-4
 B.Pharma / D.Pharma Paper–1 & Paper - 2 (or Paper 3 in lieu of Paper – 2)

Only those candidates who belong to domicile of rajasthan can apply For rpeteap – 2005. Reservation of seats -

Except in case of unaided Private Institutions and 50% seats in the self- finance course of the aided institutions the reservation of seats will be made subject to the prevalent statutory provisions i.e. as per relevant rules and regulations of Govt. of Rajasthan viz. 16% for SC candidates, 12% for ST candidates and 21% for candidates belonging to OBC category.Provision will also be made for horizontal reservation of 3% for candidates belonging to physically handicap, 25% for women category and 3% for dependents of Defence Killed / Ex-Servicemen.

How To Apply

Information booklet giving details and RPETEAP-2005 application form can be obtained by post from the Coordinator RPETEAP-2005, Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur–342011 by sending a crossed bank draft of Rs. 150/- in favour of Coordinator RPETEAP-2005, payable at Jodhpur. Application form can also be purchased with effect from 23rd March, 2005 against payment of Rs.100/- in cash during office hours from the following Nodal Centers situated in the campus of :

1. RPETEAP Office, Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur.
2. Govt. Polytechnic Colleges : Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Churu, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Pali, Sawai Madhopur, Shri Ganganagar, Sirohi.
3. Govt. Women Polytechnic Colleges : Jaipur, Udaipur.
4. M.L.V. Textile Institute, Bhilwara.

As regards to category of admissions, fee structure etc. The Guidelines issued by the aicte and guidelines issued by the state Governemnt will be followed.

Application Form duly filled along with required fee as per Information Booklet should reach Coordinator RPETEAP 2005, Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur – 342 011 by 5.00 P.M. of 11th April, 2005, irrespective of the fact that whether 11th April, 2005 is a working day or not.

RPETEAP Application Form received after last date and time shall not be accepted.
