| All India Premedical/PreDental Entrance Test is conducted by
Central Board of Secondary
Education(CBSE) for the
15% seats of Medical and
Dental college of India.

Eligibility |

The minimum academic qualification for admission through
AIPMT is minimum
50% marks in Physics,
Chemistry and
Biology taken
together. For
SC/ST and other
backward classes
this limits is
40%. |

Candidates must have completed age of 17 years before
31st December
of the year in
which she/he seeks
admission. |

The Preliminary and the main examinations are conducted
in English and
Hindi. The option
has to be exercises
while filling
the application

AIPMT is conducted at 30+ cities across the nations.
In Gujarat it
is conducted at
Ahmedabad only.

Notification for AIPMT usually appears in month of October.

| About the Test : |

| AIPMT is conducted in two stages 1. Preliminary examination
and 2. Final examination
The Preliminary examination
is pure objective type
test of 200 questions.
Each questions has four
options with single correct
answers. For each correct
response student gets
3 marks and for each incorrect
response one mark is deducted.
No penalty for unattempted
questions. Duration of
the test is 3 hours. Brake
up of 200 question follows.

| The students who qualify the preliminary examination are only
eligible to appear for
the final examination.
The final examination
consist of two papers
each of two hours.

| Both the papers are conducted on the same day. This is non
objective paper to be
answered in test booklet
supplied. The final examination
is conducted in the middle
